LOCATION AT SJUSJØEN - FINNØLA
We are located here - that is in a forest area between Mesnali and Sjusjøen. Coming from the south (Oslo) the shortest tour includes a road that is closed in the winter. That is why this page is important for you to read before you head off for your husky tour.
Directions from OSLO - NB! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU FOLLOW THIS ROUTE!
Most navigators will ask you to take off the E6 by Brumunddal but you should go a bit further to Rudshøgda where you take off. Follow the signs to Sjusjøen passing Mesnali. After Mesnali follow the road towards Sjusjøen another 3km until you see signs for Sjusjøen Skisenter (alpine ski center at Sjusjøen), Sjusjøen Hytteutleie, and Sjusjøen Café . Turn right. From here you have 6km left to go, you can use your navigator and there are also signs for Sjusjøen Husky Tours.

Directions From LILLEHAMMER:
Find the road Sjusjøvegen with signs for Sjusjøen. Some navigators might suggest the road towards Nordseter which is less good. Pass Mesnali by staying on the main road like described above from Oslo/south.
Directions From HAFJELL /NORTH:
Go the easiest way to Lillehammer and then like described above. If you are in a mountain area like Hafjell there are roads that are only open in the summer.
This is the route that you should follow from direction Oslo. Follow E6 until Rudshøgda then pass Næroset, Åsmarka, Mesnali and take off Sjusjøvegen when you see signs for Sjusjøen Skisenter. After that you may find us on gps as well as follow signs to Sjusjøen Husky Tours.
TRAIN AND BUS FROM OSLO
It is possible to reach us by public transport especially if you book in the weekend, after 14th of December and also if you are ok walking 3km.
From 14th of December, Saturdays and Sundays only, there is a bus going from Moelv to Sjusjøen that is the easiest way coming from Oslo with train + bus:
Catch a train from Oslo Central Station at 07:34. Get off at Moelv, you will be there at 09:15.
From Moelv Station catch a bus going to Sjusjøen. It leaves at 09:30. Get off at Sjusjøen Skisenter (alpine ski center), you will be there at 10:08. From there is a 3km walk to us, look at the map below. You will have plenty of time to make the tour at 11:00 or you can also book at 12:30. Call Ida if any trouble.
Back again there is a bus leaving Sjusjøen Skisenter at 15:35 reaching Moelv at 16.11.
BUS FROM LILLEHAMMER
Book a tour with time to meet 12:30. 10:20 route 501 Innlandstrafikk Saturday or Sunday. Get off at Sjusjøen Ski center (alpine ski center), you will be there at 10:47. From there walk the route described in the map below. Back again there is a bus from the ski center at 15:47.
If you would like to join us on another day than Saturday or Sunday you should still book the tour with time to meet 12.30, or if you wish to join 30km ask ida if time to meet can be adjusted. Also, we recommend staying in Lillehammer the night before as you need to catch a bus from Lillehammer at 09:20 in the morning. That bus will go to Sjusjøen Skisenter (alpine ski center) on the way back to Lillehammer again, not on the way up. Therefore, keep sitting on the bus to the final stop at Sjusjøen and about 4km direction Lillehammer again. The bus will reach Sjusjøen Ski Center at 10:24. Here, you get off and follow the map underneath. You will be walking in the road that we drive our cars so usually well cleared in the morning after snow fall in the night. Back again is the same as on weekends described above.
Do not use GPS only!
As some of the roads are not cleared during the winter do not use GPS, but follow our explanation.
